In this first episode, I discuss 7 benefits of starting your day bright and early. Based on my experience, when you switch to an early morning lifestyle you will experience these amazing results:
You will Join an Exclusive Club of Smart People
Benjamin Franklin, Apple CEO Tim Cook, Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz, just to name a few
Sexy Body, Healthy Body
Best time for exercise and healthy food.
You are more likely to workout early than late.
Regular exercise boosts mood and fitness, provides energy all day long, and helps with deeper sleep cycles.
Don’t skip the morning smoothie!
Better Grades
In a 2008 study, college students who identified themselves as “morning people” earned a full point higher on their GPAs than those who were “night owls” (3.5 vs. 2.5).
More Optimistic
Many studies have shown that morning people are more optimistic and agreeable. Night owls, who are creative and intelligent, are also more likely to be depressed and pessimistic.
More Time to Plan Your Day and Execute it Effectively
Easier to focus on high priority tasks.
Fewer Distractions from spouses, kids, and roommates.
Start with a plan the night before, if possible. However, you can always create a plan right as the day begins.
Early Mornings are Perfect for QUIET TIME: Reading, Meditation, Prayer, and Yoga
A slower start is more peaceful, less stressful, and comforting.
Reading in the morning is great because your brain is ready to absorb new content.
I used to wake up at the last minute and it was very stressful. I now build more time into my morning so I am much more relaxed as the day begins.
Early Risers are More Proactive and Likely Better Leaders
Early risers are more likely to say: “I feel in charge of making things happen.”
Late risers are more likely behind schedule and feel as though their life is chaotic.
